If you’re anything like me, Summer is a frustrating time. As a modest gal, I’ve always had a love hate relationship with the season. It’s just so dang hot and finding what works best in the heat while still maintaining your modesty is truly difficult! Add in a trip to the water and I am rifling through my closet for hours!
Bikinis are a no-go for this mama, and I can never find a one piece that covers fully. In this search for modest swimwear, I have discovered a few tricks to dressing for the water in ways that are both comfortable and cute!
Use a Tee as a Cover-up
Layering a cute graphic tee over a swim bottom of your choice makes the perfect cover-up! Throw in a knot and you are set to go! I LOVE to wear this swim skirt because it is super flattering and extremely comfy! Not to mention, it covers the way I prefer it to! This is my go-to outfit when heading to go swim with my little one! I can play and tote him around without having to worry about revealing too much.
Pair a High-neck Swim Top with a Cover-up
High-neck swim tops are my FAVORITE! They are super flattering on all body types and cover the girls nicely. When paired with a cover-up, it provides the perfect amount of coverage while keeping you cool in the intense Summer heat!
Tuck a Tank and Pair with a Cover-up
I discovered this trick this Summer while trying to hide from the sun and prevent any further burning of my pale, pale skin. This outfit would work great with all swim bottoms! Whether it’s a swim skirt, high-waisted or regular bikini bottoms, or even swim shorts, pair it with a cute tank to keep things fun and get great coverage! I even wore mine with this lightweight coverup because cheetah print is LIFE!! And don’t worry about being too hot. As long as you pick a thinner tank, you should be safe from the heat!
